The Perfect HIIT Workout

Why is HIIT an effective form of exercise?

HIIT workout

HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING workouts are about intensity. And that fact translates to fat burn and physique development.

In HIIT workouts, you complete bursts of intense activity followed by brief cool downs, and rests. You hit it hard, you hit it fast! The sweat pours, the fat melts and all the muscles in your body engage leaving you in great physical shape in less time that you would otherwise need! Talk about effective exercise. And guys too…not leaving you out! A HIIT workout brings it home!

Having said that, I now have the perfect plan for you! It’s simple. It’s intense. It’s effective. You’ll love it and you’ll hate it. You’ll hate me for suggesting it and then you’ll love me for the results! Add this HIIT workout to your regimen once or twice a week and watch your body transform.

By the way, I did this workout last Saturday as my “off” day activity. Now, keep in mind that I hit the gym very hard 5 days a week so you might not think this would mean much to me. Believe me, it works! This is a simple, quick but quite intense workout and you will certainly know you’ve hit it hard whether you are a gym rat like me or not; I certainly did. My legs have been fussing now for 3 days, leaving Adriaan laughing at me as I shuffle along and struggle to get out of the car.

This is what I believe to be the Perfect Sprint HIIT workout.

It can be done on a track, up a hill, on an exercise bike, on an elliptical machine, even on a treadmill. Me, I like just walking out of the back gate and hitting the pavement! I love the subtle variations that add that extra punch. Here it is:

  • Sprint full out for 15 seconds
  • Rest 10 seconds
  • Sprint full out for 15 seconds
  • Rest 20 seconds
  • Sprint full out for 15 seconds
  • Rest 30 seconds
  • Sprint full out for 15 seconds
  • Rest 40 seconds
  • Sprint full out for 15 seconds
  • Rest 50 second

That is 1 set. Repeat this entire series 3 more times for a total of 4 sets.

You will be soaked. You will be panting. You will hate me. But then you’ll love me for this powerhouse HIIT workout routine!

And talk about great legs. There is no better way to get the legs of yours and every mans dream! So “HIIT” it today!

Let me know how it goes, okay? I want to know how this HIIT workout routine transforms your body!
