We all need and seek inspiration.
It is what propels us forward, shows us the potential, gives us hope, reminds us that anything is possible.
And this guy, exudess inspiration. His story will inspire you whether your weight loss goal is 1 pound or 100. Very simply, he took the reigns and transformed his life. And now, still on the journey with goals to reach, he shares his story with you today.
“My journey started in December 2011. We had attended the wedding of one of my oldest daughter’s lifelong friends. At the time, I weighed just a little over 400lbs. I didn’t exercise at all, and ate 1-2 meals per day.
I couldn’t understand why I continued to stay fat (and getting fatter) because I only ate 1 – 2 meals per day.
It was when those wedding pictures were posted on Facebook that I realized how overweight I had become. I guess I didn’t realize how out of control my weight problem had become, but I knew one thing: I had had ENOUGH!

So there I was, very obese, and not a clue what to do about it. I started like any other person would, trying to find a diet that I could live with. The problem I had with diets was that after I had been on one (and there were many) I would always gain the wieght back and then some. I needed something that I could do every day that would just become a lifestyle, so I began to read Carl’s blog. During my fact finding mission, I discovered some truths about nutrition, and the light bulb came on above my head. Although Carl’s site is geared toward women, there are certain fundamental things about health and nutrition that apply across the board. Carl and I began messaging back and forth on Facebook, and I did my best to soak up his knowledge, and implement the suggestions he would give me.
In a little over 5 months I had lost 100lbs.
This picture is me holding the shirt I was wearing in the pictures above. Shirt size: 5X

One of the things I discovered with Carl’s help was that muscle burns fat 24/7 and burns it faster than anything else.
Since my goal was to get rid of fat, I started building muscle. I started training like an animal, not necessarily to get muscular, but to get rid of fat. After I realized how much better I felt not carrying around all that extra weight, I simply embraced what my body was doing and started building from there. The next picture is after 6 months of weight training, and eating healthy 5-6 times a day. My shirt size now is XXL and I’ve lost 12 inches around my waist. ”
And his journey continues!
