Easy, Effective Natural Remedies for Sinusitis

Millions suffer from sinusitis-aka sinus infections. Odds are favourable that you have experienced it at least once in your life. And mostly likely, you related it to seasonal allergies. Of course, that is a major contributor. But there are other factors that you may not have considered; especially if you suffer from a chronic condition.

Dairy, sugar, salt, fried and refined foods are also major players. In fact, they surpass environmental allergies as the primary causes of sinusitis. Worse yet, these elements of modern nutrition cause inflammation of the joints, colon and heart; all subjects for future articles. Suffice to say, sinusitis is misery for sufferers.

Symptoms range from a stuffy nose, to postnasal drip, sore throat, facial pain, loss of smell and taste, headaches, bad breath, indigestion, earaches and toothaches. Decidedly, sinusitis is not a walk in the park on a sunny spring day.

There are prescription meds as well as over the counter remedies which we’ve all reached for- even antibiotics when the source is proven bacterial. The bad news is that these are really little more than risky Band-Aids that suppress symptoms and often lead to other health concerns.

So what is the answer to sinusitis? Well, I’m the prevention guy, the whole foods, all natural dude and those convictions are the basis of the solutions I present to you today.

Nutritional solutions include fresh squeezed juice; namely pineapple and grape. The elimination of dairy and refined flour products is essential for healing and prevention. Hot herbal and cayenne teas will help initiate drainage. And adding horseradish to meals helps clear out the sinus cavities.

Supplements include Biotic Silver as well as grapefruit seed and olive leaf extracts. Adding Echinacea, Ester C and Kyolic Garlic are also highly beneficial, natural remedies.

The simple truth is that nature has made abundant provision for our lives. And more often than not, when we embrace it and apply it, we discover healing. And when we make these elements of wellness a lifestyle, we discover prevention.

So if you suffer from sinusitis- even a once in a while sinus issue- apply these easy, powerful and effective natural remedies and discover the health that is your birthright.

Have you suffered with sinusitis? Are you ready for some natural healing?

Carl, Do you know how much of the supplements to take? Eliminating the baddies is something I’ve already done. I’m trying to see if certain foods are causing my problem. I’ve done the cayenne and horseradish thing but that only lasts a few minutes. My biggest problem is at night. The pressure will wake me, then keep me awake. I’m going to try nasal wash. Do you know if anything can be added to that other than the saline solution? Essential oils? Thanks! Christiane

Christiane..I would not add essential oils to the nasal wash…that could cause other iritation! I would use essential oils however but behind the ears, on the temples, etc. As to dosage, it ill vary from brand to bran, strngth to strength. Take a look at http://megafood.com. THey are whole foods supplents and among the best in quality!
